Robert Shelby “Sheb” Blair, 76, of Reese, died Monday evening, January 13, 2025, at Wellspring Lutheran Services in Frankenmuth. He was born May 29, 1948, in Lewiston, son of the late Melvin and Margaret (Ellsworth) Blair.
Robert was a graduate of Beecher High School; he continued his education at Mott Community College. He proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Robert was a foreman and line worker at General Motors Flint Truck and Bus for many years until his retirement. Retirement, however, didn’t slow him down-it only gave him more time to pursue his many interests and passions. He enjoyed socializing with his family and friends at the condos in Reese and in Harlingen, Texas. Robert avid fisherman, hunter, golfer, and supporter of U of M Sports, he lived life to help others, took care of everyone. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Robert was his families Hero and John Wayne.
Surviving besides his wife Carol is his daughter; Yvette Morris; two grandchildren; Cassie Elisse Morris and Joseph Steven Morris; brothers and sisters Gerald, Linda, Gary, Chuck, Helen, and Cathy; Robert is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son-in-law Steve Morris and his siblings, Marilyn, Jonie, Richard, and Brian.
Funeral services will take place at 12 noon on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Ware Smith Woolever Funeral - Reese Chapel, 9940 Saginaw St, Reese. The burial will take place at a later date at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Home in Reese. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Family in care of his loving wife Carol.
