BADOUR, Joyce – Of Flint, age 63, died Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at Heartland Healthcare Center-Briarwood.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Edd Bowen officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Sunday and 12 p.m. Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Joyce was born in Port Huron, Michigan on March 7, 1956, the daughter of the late Bob and Rita Hall and she was raised by Henry and Elsie Christensen.
Joyce graduated from Central High School-Flint in 1976. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family. While she was in Florida she became involved in creating jewelry from sea shells, art and jewelry making.
She was a lifelong area resident, except for brief four year residency in Florida.
On August 21, 1998 she married Harvey Badour in Flint.
Joyce worked in adult foster care homes as a Direct Care Worker.
Surviving are husband, Harvey Badour;
daughter, LeeAnn (Keith) Rhotehamel;
son, James Earl Christensen;
4 grandchildren, Madyson and Pierce Rhotehamel, Gaven and Bradyn Christensen;
3 sisters, Sherri (Jerry), Carrie (Anthony), Debra (Tim) and
2 brothers, Mike(Julie) and Butch.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert J. Hall.
