BURDEN, Geraldine (Stiles), born in Flint, Michigan, passed away at the age of 95 on January 7, 2023.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2-8pm at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 11 at 1pm, with visitation starting at 11am, at the Swartz Funeral Home.
Geraldine was born on October 27, 1927 to Ray Henry Stiles and Maude Edith (Johnson) Stiles. She attended Dye High School and spent 3 years working as a switchboard operator for Bell Telephone. Geraldine lived on her farm in Davison for 44 years where she enjoyed gardening and tending to animals and later retired to her home in Otter Lake. Geraldine had a love of the outdoors and taking vacations with family, including many visits to the Upper Peninsula. She also enjoyed bowling, socializing, working on a puzzle, and occasional trips to the casino.
Surviving are her children, Gayle (Burden) Roat, Gary (Diane), and Greg;
granddaughters; Olivia (Robert) Ross, and Emily;
great-granddaughter; Reagan;
step-grandson; Zarin (Tracey) Roat;
step-great-granddaughter; Isabella;
and sister Carol.
Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Maude, her brother Howard, sister Norma and son-in-law David Roat.
