BURLEY-MROCZKIEWICZ, Helen – of Davison, MI, age 97, passed away on March 6, 2024. A Private burial has taken place at Sunset Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
Helen was born in Molton, Iowa on December 4, 1926, daughter of the late Oscar and Nora (Garner) Elfline. She married the late James Cain, Dave Burley and Andy Mroczkiewicz, who all preceded her in death. Helen enjoyed playing card games. She would often play in euchre and cribbage tournaments both in Michigan and during the time she lived in Arizona. Helen had a sincere fondness for animals from a very young age. There was not a cat or dog that she didn’t love. Helen was also well remembered for her family get-togethers. She always provided great food and fun games. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Helen is survived by her nieces, Helen (the late Wally) Voight and Jean (Gary) Stephen; nephew Eddie (Sandra) Elfline; stepchildren, Pete, George, Bill and Sandra Mroczkiewicz; great niece, Morgan; great nephews, Chad, Ryan, Matt, Jason (Cindy) and the late Eric; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by many friends and loved ones who will always be in loving memory.
