Margaret (Peggy) was born July 27, 1930 in Flint, Michigan. She graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1948, then Flint Junior College (Mott) in 1950 with an Associate of Arts. She began her college years working part-time as a Nursing Assistant in the labor and delivery unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital. When she advanced to Michigan State, Margaret helped cater university gatherings with her best friend, Carol White(also from Flint). After obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, she taught first grade at Merrill Elementary and then taught at St. Matthew’s Catholic School in Flint. Peggy met David Joseph in 1954 and they married in 1955. They started their family 10 months later. Dave always wanted a large family and Peggy provided him nine children. As their family grew larger, Peggy began to work on the production line at AC Spark Plug, working night shift for the majority of her 23 years on the line. She traded childcare and chauffeuring duties with Dave, who worked day shift. She was a wonderful mother who incorporated her teaching skills in everyday life, dedicating her life to her family and her faith. Peggy was widowed at an early age in 1986, retiring from AC to care for her youngest children. She was the primary caregiver to two of her children who died of Cancer; David Paul in 2003 and Elizabeth Mary in 2011. Later she lost her Son, Joseph Anthony due to long-term complications after hip surgery in 2015. Joe’s wife, Luana Jean, remained a true daughter to Peggy throughout her life and a caring sister to her children to this day. Margaret was also predeceased in death by her loving and attentive parents; Katherine Marie Pintar in 1995 and Joseph Stephen Pintar in 2005. She was blessed to have three brothers who brought entertainment and joy in her younger years and love and assistance in her later years. For this, her children would like to thank Harold Pintar, Linda (Bryson) and Joseph Pintar, and Michael Pintar for their love and devotion. She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Thomas (MynugSook) Emery of Vail, AZ, Mary (Richard) Yee of Santa Barbara, CA, Louis (Gloria) Emery of Lompoc, CA, Ann (Scott) McLane of Thomaston, GA, Julie (Pat) Kelly of Flint, MI, Tina Stovesand of Lompoc, CA; grand daughters, Margaret Ann Bates, Sarah Smith, Jennifer Kennedy, Katherine Kristine Preston, Melissa Joe Emery, Katherine Margaret Yee, Rebecca Rose Kelly, Chrystella Woods, Nikki Tangel, Hannah Stovesand, Rebekah Omega Stovesand, Denise Negron; grandsons, Zachary McLane, Anthony Emery, Bryan Aceves, David Kelly, James Yee, Conner Robles-Emery, Matthew Kelly, Peter Emery, Timothy Kelly, John Kelly, Jon Utter, Joshua Stovesand, Caleb Stovesand, and 17 great-grandchildren, and dozens of cousins, nephews and nieces who will miss her. The family wishes to thank the many doctors, nurses, and special friends who attended and cared for Margaret throughout her life and illness.
