Bob was born on March 11, 1941 to Woodrow and Lucille (Huttman) Wates. Bob retired form General Motors. He enjoyed wood working wrenching on vehicles, gardening, and fixing appliances. Surviving is his wife Judy Wates; children: Woody Wates Jr., Rodney (Keley) Wates; granddaughter: Crystal; brother Gary (Sandy) Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Tom Wates
