SHELBY, Cynthia – of Montrose, age 66, died Monday, January 23, 2023, at her residence. Funeral service will be held 1PM Monday, January 30, 2023, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 10AM until the time of service at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family for future designation.
Cynthia was born January 1, 1957, in Flint, to the late Deana Shelby. She attended Bentley High School where she received her high school diploma and University of Michigan Flint where she received her BSN. Cynthia furthered her education at University of Michigan Ann Arbor where she received her master’s degree in forensic and psychiatric nursing. She worked at Hurley Medical Center for many years before starting her own travel nursing company, Lyder Managed Care. Cynthia enjoyed reading, knitting, and listening to music – especially Elton John, Jack Johnson, and Jason Mraz. She always went out of her way to take care of others, even those she did not know. Cynthia was an incredible woman and loving mother who will be deeply missed.
Cynthia is forever loved by her children: Alicia Kusky, Mathieu (Michelle) Borque, Cameron Klyder, Jordan Lyder, and Christian Lyder; Grandchildren: Micah Kusky, Adria Bergey, Miyah Bergey, Bennett Borque, and Bowie Borque; Great Grandchild, Zion; Significant other, Larry Parks; Siblings: Nannette Yarborough and Katrina; Aunt: Juanita Shelby; Uncle, Ray Shelby; Beloved yorkie, Bear. Cynthia was preceded in death by her mother, Deana and brother, Mark. |
