DAVIS, Jack T. – Of Durand, age 91, died Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Durand Senior Care & Rehab Center.
Inurnment of cremains at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Memorial service will be held at a later date.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Jack was born in Boyne City, Michigan on January 19, 1929, the son of the late Frank and Frances (Lewis) Davis.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
In 1953 he married Gwendolyn and she preceded him in death in 2007.
He was a member of the Masons and the UAW.
Mr. Davis served as Mayor of Durand and continued his service as City Councilman.
He had a passion for cars and enjoyed golf. He also loved to tell a good story.
Above all else, he enjoyed being with his family.
Surviving are children, Gary (Sherry),
Jeff (Debbie),
Frank (Debra),
Jack and Wilma;
21 grandchildren;
31 great-grandchildren;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Orville; sisters, Thelma, Olive and Mary.
