LAUDERMAN, Dr. Hilda Grace (Sayers) – of Davison, MI, age 77, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2021. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Berean Baptist Church, 6705 Rustic Ridge Trail, Grand Blanc, MI 48439; Pastor Eric C. Maynard officiating. Hilda will be laid to rest next to her husband, Carl, in Dawn Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 10-11 AM Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Berean Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Berean Baptist Church, in Hilda’s memory.
Hilda was born in Davison, MI on October 11, 1943, daughter of the late Foster Leroy and Fern Ethel (Caryl) Sayers. She was a graduate of Davison High School Class of 1961. Hilda married Carl Alvin Lauderman on October 20, 1961 and he preceded her in death on December 6, 2013. In 1978, Hilda earned an associate degree in nursing from MCC. She furthered her education, earning 4 doctorate degrees (Doctor of Naturopathy Medicine, Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health, Doctor of Philosophy in Nutrition, and Doctor of ?edicine) and was a practicing Naturopathic Doctor specializing in Homeopathic Medicine. Hilda was a member of Berean Baptist Church and volunteered her time with Eagle Food Co-op. She also enjoyed singing in the choir, sewing and cooking.
Hilda is survived by 2 daughters, Carla (Steve) Davis and Candace (Joel) Foote; 6 grandchildren, Andy (Dori) Davis, Aaron Davis, Adam Davis, Allison Davis, Jason Oviatt, Megan (Brad) Stratton; 4 great-grandchildren, Aurora Davis, Azalea Davis, Ivanna Davis and Rock Davis; 4 siblings, Leland (Jo) Sayers, Vernon “Bud” (Shirley) Sayers, Flora (Paul) Walton and Burton “Burt” Sayers; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Foster and Fern Sayers and her husband, Carl A. Lauderman.
