NICHOLS, Glendora – of Clio, age 88, died peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Living Waters Assisted Living in Clio. Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at Messiah Lutheran Church – 520 Butler St., in Clio. Pastor Erik Cloeter officiating. Burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Tuesday from 3PM until 8PM, and at the church on Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church.
Glendora was born July 26, 1933, in Buffalo Twp., Arkansas to the late Lester and Fay (Nelson) Duncan. She married Herb Nichols on June 3, 1967, in Clio. Glendora retired from General Motors – AC in 1990 with 30 years seniority. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, the Red Hat Society, and Vienna Greens Golf Course. Glendora loved golfing and played on many beautiful courses all over the U.S. She enjoyed bowling, winters in Florida, and spending time with friends having card parties and attending sporting events.
Surviving are: Husband, Herb Nichols; Daughter, Michelle (Chris) DeHate; Grandchildren: Olivia DeHate (Fiancé Ron), Isabelle DeHate, Paige DeHate, and Joshua Nichols (Kay); Sister, Norma Debus; Brothers in law: Dennis (Karen) Nichols, and James (Jean) Nichols. Glendora was also preceded in death by: Son, Mark Nichols; Brother, James Duncan; Sister, Anita Hodgman.
