DAVIS, Beverly J. – Of Flint, age 91, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Per Beverly’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am on Monday, July 18, 2022 at
Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton,
Father Steve Anderson officiating. Visitation 10:00am at the church until the time of the Mass.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm-7:00pm on Sunday, July 17th at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00pm on Sunday.
Beverly was born in Flint, Michigan on September 14, 1930, the daughter of the late James and Genevieve (Gallagher) Couls.
She married Robert Davis on September 16, 1950 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on March 27, 2015.
Beverly enjoyed spending time reading, knitting and crocheting. She also loved to cook, especially big Sunday dinners well into her 80’s.
Surviving are daughters, Sally Flewelling of Grand Blanc, Mary and husband John Richards of Jackson and Jennifer and husband Craig Smith of Grand Blanc;
grandchildren, Keith (Kayla) Flewelling, Megan (Joshua) Perrin, Liza (John) Broderick and Sarah, Michael and Katelyn Richards;
great-grandchildren, Robert and Genevieve Perrin;
and sister, Gladys Tesnar.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Jr.; siblings, Marjorie, Pardonnet, Mary Neiman and James Couls Jr.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
