Billy Richard McPherson of Flint passed away peacefully surrounded by friends & family at his grandsons home on Aug 25th 2022.
Bill was married to Janet Hart McPherson whom also passed away peacefully at their water front residence in Bluewater Bay, Niceville Florida on Sept 6th 2021. Bill & Janet were married over 65 years.
Bill graduated from Flint Central in 1950 and attended Olivet College where he studied Dentistry and played Football. During this time Bill also worked with his father at Bob's Tire Store and for Chevrolet Motors. Bill married Anita Kerner and was later drafted into the Army during the Korean War. While stationed in Fairbanks Alaska, their first son, Robert David McPherson was born. Upon returning home from the Army. Bill began to work full time with his dad at Bob's Tire Store. For 50 years the business was well regarded for retreading truck tires and all facets of the industrial tire business. Through the years, Bill achieved large scale success for Bob's Tire Store. Bill was a competitive golfer. His first job was working as a caddy at the Flint Golf Club. Bill played courses around the US & on overseas trips. He had at least 5 'holes in one'. His two favorite courses were Bluewater Bay in Niceville Fl & Spring Meadows in Linden MI. Bill always had a warm demeanor & his smile could immediately light up any room. His sense of humor was also well admired. He will be missed by all who knew him & his presence in their life was a blessing.
Preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years Janet McPherson, son Michael McPherson, Grandson Hunter McPherson, father (Bob) Robert Lee McPherson, mother Mary White McPherson, sisters Janis Lee McPherson & Beverly Grimes.
Billy is survived by his son Robert David (Carol Myers) McPherson, grandson Robert David Lee McPherson, Max David (Rebecca) McPherson, Ringo David (Shyla) McPherson & two great grandchildren Savannah McPherson & Macy McPherson. He also leaves behind his sister Sue (Ken) Tidrick, nieces (Charles) Mary Thornton, (Michael) Penny Dodge & nephew Lance (Chrissy) Tidrick, along with several great nieces & nephews.

A memorial visitation for Billy will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, MI, followed by a memorial service at 12:30 PM.
