Willour, Joyce M. Of Flushing, 1 week shy of her 90th birthday, died Monday, April 26, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. Public visitation will be 10 a.m. till 12 noon Thursday at Rossell Funeral Home. Due to Covid restrictions, a private funeral service will follow. Burial will be at Flushing Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Ladies Oriental Shrine, Sewing Club.
Joyce was born in Flint, Michigan on May 7, 1931, the daughter of Martin and Aileen (Stone) Weigle. She married Dwight Willour on August 26, 1950, in Flint. After 50 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on May 23, 2001. Joyce was employed by Tom Ryan Enterprises and Jursik Truck Equipment. She was a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine and the Forget-Me-Nots. Joyce was a talented seamstress who enjoyed quilting and making many things for the Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals. She enjoyed working in her yard, taking trips to the casinos, and being a cheerleader for her grandchildren’s many sporting events. Joyce loved spending time with her family, no matter the occasion…“If the bus was leaving, grandma was on it”.
She is survived by her children, Craig (Christine) Willour, Cheryl (Dan) Conquest-Particka, Nancy (Butch) Johnson; grandchildren, Tony Willour, Lauren (Nate) Haack, Andrea (Caleb) Conquest, Brad (Katie) Tippett; step-grandchildren, Stacy Lucas, Aaron Johnson; great-grandchildren, Asher, Ava, Hunter, Gabe, and baby girl Conquest on the way. A special thank you to her care-giver, Connie Epperson. Joyce was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, James; sister, Janet; and son-in-law Don. |
