Noreen Maarleveld, 79, of Lincoln, passed away Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at her home.
Born July 18, 1944, to Anthony and Regina (Born) Maarleveld in Bay City, MI, she was raised there. Noreen was a devoted homemaker and caregiver, who was always willing to help someone in need. On August 20, 1979, she married Walter Maarleveld in Flint, MI. They were residents of Flint until moving to Lincoln in 1997. Noreen was a former member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Harrisville, where she played the organ. She currently attended Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Ossineke. Norene loved her family, friends, and her cats. She enjoyed wandering and working around her property.
Noreen is survived by seven children, Tony (Kara) Malone, Lee (Lynn) Malone, Coreen (Jim) Resseguie, Wayne (Debbie) Malone, Wally (Chris) Maarleveld, Scott (Renee) Maarleveld, and Tammy Davis, many grandchildren, including Cheyenne Malone and Anthony Heathcoat, and her sister Judy (Gary) Berkompas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter on May 5, 2010, and her grandson, Kenneth Malone.
Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. A memorial service will be announced next spring.
