DALLAIRE, Morris F. – Of Irons, formerly of Burton, age 80, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2022 at home surrounded by family.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Thomas Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Crestwood Cemetery.
Visitation 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and 1:00 p.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Morris was born in Flint, Michigan on September 14, 1942 the son of the late Bernard and Treva (McGahey) Dallaire. He was a resident of Burton since 1942 and moved to Irons, Michigan in September, 1995.
Morris married Charlotte Beckman on December 9, 1961 and she preceded him in death on September 23, 2000. He retired from General Motors. Back in the day, he enjoyed hunting and being outdoors. Morris was an avid bowler and played on a league with both of his sons. He loved his Nutty Buddy’s and ice-cream sandwiches.
Surviving are 4 children, Karen Schluckbier,
Kathy and husband Jim Shourd,
Kristina Coleman and
Kirk Dallaire;
11 grandchildren;
10 great-granchildren;
sisters, Sharon, Delores and Donna;
Fur-baby, Lily and great-granddoggy, Phoenix.
and several nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte; son, Keith Dallaire; great-grandsons, James Andrew Shourd II and Braxton Finks and brother, Alfred Dallaire.
The family extends a special thank you to Katrina Duncan and hospice for their care.
