MOWL, Roberta G. (Brown) – of Burton, MI, age 89, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021. A Private Funeral Service will be held at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Roger Gedcke officiating. Interment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 10 AM-1 PM Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, 353 East Vienna Street, Clio, MI 48420 or to a charity of one’s choice, in Roberta’s memory.
Roberta was born in Flint, MI on March 4, 1932, daughter of the late Robert and Marjorie (Kitley) Brown. She married Harold Mowl on July 9, 1949 in Flint, MI and he preceded her in death on February 21, 2007. Roberta was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading, tending to her flowers, landscaping and spending time with her family.
Roberta is survived by 4 children, Chris (Janet) Mowl, Vicki (John) Neelands, Sandra Mowl and Scott (Heather) Mowl; 6 grandchildren, Megan (Chris) Roney, Jenni (Michael) Sheets, Sean (Stacey) Mowl, Nicholas (fiancée, Jolynn Jackson) Mowl, Daniel (Courtnie) Fredericks and Brian Fredericks; 9 great-grandchildren; nephew, Michael Anderson; brother-in-law, Gerald (Charlotte) Mowl; 2 sisters-in-law, JoAnn Mowl and Doris Kendall; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Marjorie Brown; her husband, Harold Mowl; great-grandson, Avery Sheets; sister, Arlene Dodge and nephew, Monty Dodge.
