Kenneth Ray Pifer, age 90, of Clio, Michigan passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025.
Kenneth was born in Marion, Michigan to the late Hubert and Alva (Rodal) Pifer on February 8, 1934. He loved sports (basketball, football and baseball) and never missed a game that one of his grandchildren were participating in. He absolutely loved to watch the Detroit Lions. He even stated during his last month, he wanted to live long enough to see the Lions go to the Superbowl. He has always been a devoted Lions fan. He also served in the Marine Corps and was proud of this accomplishment.
He cherished his children, his grandchildren, his great-grandchildren, siblings, nephews and nieces. He was a friend to everyone he met, and he was always willing to help anyone that he could. We will all miss him dearly, and we are all are very fortunate that he was a part of our lives.
Kenneth leaves to cherish his memory his children, Michael (Margaret) Pifer, Renee Pifer, Vicki (Rick Wilson), G. Thomas Hart, Gordon (Diane) Hart. He also leaves his grandchildren, Shannon (Brandon) Leighton, Joshua Pifer (and Ariel), Heather West (and Sonny), Lacey Hood, Rachel (Joshua) Connelly, Michael Pifer, Matheu Hart, his great-grandchildren, Rylee Leighton, Brooklynn Leighton, Braxton Leighton, Emma West, Quinn Hood, Jameson Hood, Fallon Connelly, Cohen Connelly, Jaxson Pifer, and John Pifer. He also leaves his siblings, Doris Smith, Leon (Virginia) Pifer, Betty McAfee, Virginia Anspaugh and many nieces and nephews. He touched each and everyone of our lives and will be deeply missed.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Adelyn D. Pifer, son Wayne Pifer, son Kevin Pifer, his great-grandson Landon Leighton, and his parents.
A funeral visitation for Kenneth will be held Sunday, January 26, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Reigle Funeral Home - 5501 W. Pierson Road, Flushing, Michigan 48433. A funeral service will occur Monday, January 27, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Reigle Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Kenneth will be laid to rest at Flint Memorial Park in Mount Morris, Michigan.
We have so many fond memories and stories with and of our Dad that we will never forget. We’re positive that all that went before him, were there to meet him with open arms. Until we meet again. We love you and will never forget you. |
