Lake, Gerald A. Of Lovells, Michigan, age 75, died Thursday, November 18, 2021, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held in the spring. If desired, a memorial contribution may be made in his name to Anglers of the AuSable, AuSable North Branch Area Foundation, or Mason-Griffith Trout Unlimited.
Gerald was born in Flint, Michigan on August 23, 1946, the son of Arthur and Betty Jane (Gardopee) Lake. Gerald was a graduate of Kearsley, Class of 1964. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fly-fishing and trapping. Gerald actively and passionately supported the restoration of the AuSable River, especially in the North Branch area.
He is survived by his sister, Norma Skoglund; nieces, Casey Skoglund, Kelly Skoglund and husband Steve Casabonne. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Terry Skoglund. |
