Paro, Doris A. Of Flushing, age 93, died Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Fostrian Court Assisted Living. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2021, at Rossell Funeral Home. Burial will be at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
Doris was born in Flint, Michigan on May 8, 1928, the daughter of Lloyd and Elsie (Smith) Prestgard. She married Lawrence Paro on June 28, 1947, and together they had five children. Doris was a volunteer at the former FOH Auxiliary where she was a Past-President. She enjoyed going to casinos, bowling, golf and was active in several card clubs.
Doris is survived by her husband of 74 years, Lawrence; children, Yvonne and husband Rick Comstock, Dennis and wife Janet Paro, Sue and husband Dan Pobuda, Doug Paro, Greg and wife Cyndi Paro; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Childers; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Keith Comstock; her parents; and siblings, Dorothy Frappier and Lloyd Prestgard, Jr.
