Dane Allan Carnell, Sr., of Flushing, Michigan gained his wings and joined his family in Heaven after a short battle with cancer.
Born February 18, 1950 to Allan and Maxine (nee Tackabury) Carnell, Dane graduated from Hamady High School. He retired from General Motors after over 30 years of loyal service and served as past President of the Fenton Shrine Club and past Commander of the American Legion S.A.L. Post 64. Dane loved to hunt, fish, and definitely golf. He was the happiest when his home was filled with family and friends.... his greatest passion were his grandchildren.
Dane is taking with him in his heart his wife, Michelle; children: Kaylynn (Leigh) Jackson, Dane II (Jackie) Carnell, Audra (Trevor) Conaway, and Ashley (James) Clymer; his grandchildren: Trevor II (Katerina), Katelyn, Drew, Cooper, Luke, Jack, Claire, and Owen; his great-grandchildren, Emma and Anna; sister Debbie Carnell; brother Dan (Jan) Carnell; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He will join his parents, his grandson Dane Allan Carnell III, and brother Dennis Carnell.
The family will greet guests from 4:00pm- 8:00pm on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing. A Celebration of Dane's Life will take place at 11:00am Wednesday, May 12 at Flushing Community Church of the Nazarene, 9500 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing. Visitation from 10:00am until time of service. Interment following at Elmwood Cemetery, New Lothrup.
The family kindly requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children (www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org) in honor of Dane.
