MOORE, Robert “Bob” – Of Swartz Creek, age 91, passed away Monday, April 20, 2026 at his residence.
A military service will be held 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2026 at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the kitchen at Carriage Town Ministries.
Bob was born in Fenton, Michigan on October 9, 1934, the son of the late Emmet and Dorothy (Head) Moore. On September 26, 1986, he married Linda Austin in Flint. Bob was employed with General Motors skilled trades retiring in 1980. He was a member of the VFW in Fenton. Bob was in the mayor’s office on Aging and Handicap for a long time. He was also a Scout Leader and volunteered for many organizations including the Flint jail, his church in Fenton and was a hospice volunteer. Bob traveled all around the United States. He also enjoyed attending car shows and at one time owned 3 classic cars. Bob would proclaim that Linda was the love of his life.
Surviving are wife, Linda;
daughter, Anne Marie (Timothy) Curtis;
son, Matthew;
and 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ron and Gary.
