Mrs. Celia Burnette Demps age 73 of Flint, passed away May 18, 2021 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 11 am, Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Guiding Light/ Adams Memorial COGIC, G-5230 Detroit St. Flint, MI. Family hour will be held 10 am, Wednesday at the church. Burial in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Micah Badon officiating. Mrs. Demps was born in Pontiac, MI, the daughter of the the late James and Rachel (Williams) Causey. Mrs. Demps was joined in marriage to Hezekiah Demps, June of 1995 and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Demps was a former member of the Chapter 1 Community Choir, Flint Parents Booster Club, she was an elementary school teachers aid and an Avon entrepeneur. Mrs. Demps whole house would smell with an Avon scent, she loved to cook and could make a mean biscuit from scratch. Mrs. Demps had a special laugh and also loved to fish, and crochet. Mrs. Demps leaves to cherish her children Malcolm Causey, Christopher (Debra) Scott, Reginald Badon and Micah (Regina) Badon, 13 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, siblings Josephus Williams, Gwendolyn Field, Charles Causey, Chester (Mildred) Causey, Charlene Causey, Joyce Malone, James Causey, Bertha (Robert) Elam, daughter-in-law Aquila Badon, many nieces, nephews and her friend of 40 years Linda Cooper. Mrs. Demps was preceded in death by her husband Hezekiah, son Clinton Badon III, her parents, brothers Clifton Williams and Thomas Causey, nephews Deon and Michael Causey, brother-in-law Alonzo Fields.
