Leotria Mason also known as “Lee” to friends and family was born on February 1,1939 in Forest City, Arkansas the daughter of Bertha and Jesse Boxley. Leotria married the love of her life William Mason on February 1,1957 and together they moved to Flint, Michigan in 1961 with their three children; Barbara, Linda and Charles (Chucky) to start a better life. Once in Flint, Leotria and William had two more children Tracy and Tamara (Tammy).
Leotria joined Morning Star Baptist Church where she would attend every Sunday with her children. Leotria was an excellent cook and an even better baker. She worked at General Motors for 25 years until she retired. After retirement she dedicated her life to helping raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Leotria leaves to cherish her memory; 3 children: Barbara (Johnny) Anderson, of Montgomery Alabama, Tracy Mason, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Tamara Mason , of Flint, Michigan; 16 Grandchildren: Antwane, DeVance, Raynard, Quisha, Tracy(TJ), Kenneth Jr, Dreun, Reco, Kayla, Kari, Shannon, Tyler, Tiara, Michael Anthony, Amor, Clinton; 34 Great-Grandchildren; 3 sisters: Charlotte Solomon-Sanderfer, of Detroit, MI, Mary (Hollis) Adams and Doris Boxley, both of Flint, MI; 3 brothers: Robert Boxley of Monroe, NC, James Boxley of Flint, MI and Clifford (LaTonya) of Grand Blanc, MI. She also leaves behind a host of cherished relatives and friends, including a special sister-in-law Loistein Boxley and special friends Ernestine Sims, Dorothy Gill, and Stella Amerson.
Leotria was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Bertha Boxley, her husband William Mason, her oldest grandchild Shukarla Boxley, her children Linda Kay (Mason) Bell, and Charles Mason, her brother Jesse Boxley, Jr., and special brother-in-law Joseph Solomon.
