Philip Glen Moore
Age 95 of New Lothrop passed away peacefully on January 29, 2023 with his family at his side.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at St. Robert Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at McGeehan Funeral Homes New Lothrop Chapel on Friday, February 3rd from 4:00 to 6:00pm.
Philip was born on January 27, 1928 to Robert and Susan (Kenney) Moore on the family farm in New Lothrop. He married Betty Ralston on September 3, 1949 at St. Robert's Church in Flushing. They enjoyed 73 years of marriage.
Glen, as known to family and friends, retired from General Motors after 37 years as a semi-truck driver. He was also a farmer his entire life and loved working outside and being on his tractors. He and Betty enjoyed traveling, camping, attending grandchildren's sporting events, and watching Tiger games. He was a jack of all trades and shared his knowledge with anyone he thought he could help.
Glen is survived by his children, Diane Moore, David (Catherine) Moore, Carol (Edward) Cassidy, and Patricia (Jeffrey) Carlton; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and 5 step-great-grandchildren; and his sister-in-law, Marilyn Moore.
Glen was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; his parents, Robert and Susan Moore; sisters, Helena (Frank) Montalbano, and Marie (Jim) Sheridan; brothers, Bob (Dorothy) Moore, Hubert (Evelyn) Moore, and Ken (Irene) Moore; sister-in-law, Nina Tabor; and parents-in-law, George and Leabelle Ralston.
Charitable contributions may be made to family's wishes. |
