Marshall, Linda- of Clio, age 72, died Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Maple Woods Manor. A Memorial service will be at 11AM, Saturday, June 18, 2022, at Messiah Lutheran Church. The family will receive visitors at church from 930AM until 11AM.
Linda was born March 15, 1950,in Owosso, Michigan, to the late Howard and Irene (Schmiege) Newton. She graduated from Chesaning High School with the class of 1968. From there she Graduated from University of Michigan Flint in 1973 with her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. Linda then received her Master’s from Eastern Michigan University. She was a teacher for the Clio School district for 31 years, retiring in 2005. Linda enjoyed volunteering for the election polls, the Clio Library Book Club, and the library book sales. She enjoyed baking and collecting new recipes. Linda was always in her flower garden, she enjoyed reading her mystery books. She was an amazing woman who will be missed by many.
Surviving are: Brother, Gary (Denise) Newton; Sister-in-law, Debra (Dave) Peterson; Nieces and Nephews: Cheryl (Brandon) Starnes, Lisa Jane (Chad) Oczus, Heather Newton, and Monica Newton; Great nieces and nephews: Shelby Starnes, Krystal (Davaun) Barton, Bradley Wadeen, Gavin Oczus, and Avery Oczus. Special friends: Judy Leonardo, Karen Bengtson, and Sue (Bill) Goodfellow. She is preceded in passing by her husband, Brand Marshall.
