PERKINS, Allen Wayne - Age 79, of Flint, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022. Per Allen's request cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Grace Bible Fellowship Swartz Creek, 9061 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Phillip Long officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the Grace Bible Fellowship Swartz Creek.
Allen was born October 3, 1943 in Flint the son of Alexander and Lorraine (Troubaugh) Perkins. He served in the U.S. Army during the Cuban Crisis. He married Patricia May Hall Dehmel November 2, 2002 in Flint. Allen retired from Buick Motors and was a member of the U.A.W. He also was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Swartz Creek.
Surviving are: his wife, Patricia; step sons, Jeff (Sue) Dehmel of Burton and Tod (Laura) Dehmel of Kalkaska; step grandchildren, Joshua, Noah, Carrie (Stephen) Durfee, Wally (Hope) Snyder, and Stephanie (Joel) Heaton; step great grandchildren, Wally, Caleb, Kyle, Ashton, Joshua, Abella, and Laila; sister, Joyce Wolf of Tennessee; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Lorraine Perkins; and brother, Rodney Perkins. Tributes may be shared online at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
