SZECSODI, William “Bill” Stephen – of Clio, age 71, died Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at McLaren Flint. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 18, 2026 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. John Montney officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 10:00 AM until time of service on Saturday. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Bill was born January 21, 1955 at home in Clio, Michigan to the late Coleman and Mary (Brophy) Szecsodi. He grew up in Mt. Morris, Michigan and graduated from Mt. Morris High School with the class of 1973. On September 13, 1992 he married Toni Thomason. Prior to his retirement in 2016, Bill was a Tool Maker with GM with 32 years of service. He was a member of the NRA and the Bridgeport Gun Club. Bill was an avid gun collector and enjoyed trap shooting. He liked to go fishing, hunting, online auctions and racing of any kind. However, his great joy in life was his family and sitting on the porch listening to the thunderstorms. The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to all the staff at McLaren ICU.
Surviving are: Wife, Toni Szecsodi; Children, Tricia (David) Myers, Becki Flanagin, Stephen (Tiffany) Szcesodi, Rachel Flanagin; Grandchildren, Alexis, Courtney, Melanie, Mandi, Nevaeh, Eriel, Rilee, Maewyn, one great granddaughter on the way; Siblings, Mary Kay (Joe) Thompson, Dave (Cheryl) Szcesodi, Bob (Sue) Szecsodi, Teresa Pray; several nieces and nephews; Close Friends, Tom, Jimmy, Ron (Joanne) Duncan.
