TREVORROW, Esperanza – Of Flint, age 90, died Thursday, September 30, 2021 at her residence.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
Esperanza was born in Flint, Michigan on January 1, 1931, the daughter of the late Martin and Theresa (Lopez) Velasquez.
On April 21, 1951, she married Leonard Trevorrow and he preceded her in death. She enjoyed traveling, including to Australia, Hawaii, and New Zealand. Esperanza also enjoyed going to the YMCA with her friends and attending union meetings at UAW Local #599 with her husband Leonard. She also enjoyed sports including watching the Detroit Tigers. Above all else, she loved her family.
Surviving her are three sons, Larry Trevorrow, Rick Trevorrow and Jeff Trevorrow;
grandchildren, Tracy and husband Randy Sims, Cheryl and husband Senegal Williams, Eric Leiss and Kaitlynn Locke;
great-grandchildren, Dylaen Collins, Shana Sanchez, Jahari Williams and Yusuf Williams;
great-great-grandchildren, Jaevon, Daiveon, and Deejai;
and sister, Irene Hall,
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Louise Velasquez and Martha Martinez; brother, Joe Velasquez; and daughter-in-law, Jan Trevorrow.
