EVANS, Linda Louise - Of Flint, age 71, died Sunday, June 4, 2023 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Victory Baptist Church, 2378 Center Road, Burton. Pastor John Earnhart officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Visitation 1 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mrs. Evans will be at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service.
Contributions may be made to Missions Fund at New Heights Baptist Church.
Linda was born in Flint, Michigan on September 13, 1951, the daughter of the late Felton and Helen (Smith) Shoults.
She married Ronald Evans on May 8, 1971 at Hilltop Baptist Church in Flint and he preceded her in death after 27 years of marriage. She was a member of New Heights Baptist Church. Linda loved to pray for people and saw this as a life ministry. Above all else, Linda loved her family.
Surviving are son, Scott (Dormalee) Evans;
sisters, Carol (Bob) Caldwell and Rose Hodgeson;
grandsons, Carsyn Evans and Felton Evans;
nephews and nieces, Andrew (Audrey), Jonathan (Allison) Rebekah (Willow) Hodgeson;
aunt, Shirley O’Brien;
brother-in-law, Melvin Hodgeson;
and many cousins and grand-puppy, Snoopy Evans.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Stephen Wayne Evans.
