Arthur G. “Art” Curtiss, age 90 of Flint, Michigan joined his wife in Heaven on Friday, October 18, 2024. Born June 29, 1934 in Flint to the late Kenneth and Evelyn Curtiss, he was a graduate of Central High School class of 1952. Art served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959 at Aberdeen Proving Grounds as a Radar Instructor. He retired from AC Spark Plug/ AC Rochester in 1993.
For many years, Art and Lois divided their time between Michigan and Arizona, enjoying all the things that each state had to offer. He was a dedicated and loving husband and father who enjoyed spending time with friends and loved his time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of Birch Run Lodge #514 F&AM, Valley of Bay City Consistory, Elf Khurafeh Shrine Temple, Royal Order of Jesters Court #74, and a lifetime member of Genesee County Radio Club “W8HIT”.
Art is survived by his children; Carol (Rick Keltner) Crocker, Sandy (Sonny) Bancroft, Karen (Randy) Schofield, Barbara Gray, Pam (Dave) Linhart, David (Tara) Curtiss; Stepchildren; Randy (Joan) Lintz and Gwen (Kevin) Petersen; 22 Grandchildren, 39 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years Lois E. Curtiss; son, Gary Alan; parents; sisters; Betty Dunkel, Marjorie Strong and Peggy Latozas; previous wife and mother of his children Joann Curtiss.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elf Khurafeh Shrine https://www.ekshrine.com in Genesee County in Arthur’s honor.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan followed directly by a memorial service. Inurnment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Grand Blanc, Michigan.
