KHAL, Micheal R. – Of Burton, age 62, died Thursday, May 11, 2023 at MediLodge of Grand Blanc.
Funeral service will be held 11am Monday, May 15, 2023 at St. George Orthodox Church, 5191 Lennon Road, Flint.
Father Joe Abud officiating.
Visitation 5-7pm Sunday at the church. A Trisagion Service will be held 7pm Sunday evening at the church.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Micheal was born in Beirut, Lebanon on June 16, 1960 the son of Raja Khal and Aida Raffoul.
Mikey enjoyed going to the horse track with his friends and traveling to go to the Kentucky Derby, Detroit Tigers baseball, collecting sports memorabilia, and most importantly spending time with his family & friends. He was a proud member of St. George Orthodox Church. Mikey was a hard worker with a big heart and would do anything for the people he loved.
Surviving are sister Micheline (Jim) Russell, brother Samir Khal (Susan Hughes), brother Sami Khal; Nieces: Samantha Maynard, Courtney (William) Jackson, Zaina Khal (Jordan Frey); Great Niece and Goddaughter: Alexis; Great Nephews: Brandon, Zane, and Mason.
He was preceded in death by his mother Aida Raffoul, father Raja Khal, Uncle Camille Ghantous, Uncle Faouzi Ghantous, Uncle Jamil Ghantous, and cousin Naji Ghantous.
The family would like to thank Sashya, Floyd, Suzzie, Glenn, and Jeremy for being there unconditionally the past three months and the PRCU nurses at Ascension Genesys for their exceptional care. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family or St. Georges ladies auxiliary.
