TRACEY, Warren Herbert of Mt. Morris, age 71, died on December 24th, 2023, at his home in Lakeland, FL with his wife by his side. A funeral service will be held at 11AM at New Covenant Church in Clio on Thursday, January 4, 2024, with Dan Shinabarger and Barry Briggs officiating. Burial to follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at O’Guinn Funeral Home from 2PM till 8PM, and on Thursday at Church from 10AM until the time of service. Memorial Donations may be made to New Covenant Church or Toys for Tots.



Warren was born June 17, 1952, in Flint Michigan to Warren and Corrina (Gonzales) Tracey. He grew up in Montrose, MI and graduated in 1970. Warren proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1971 – 1977 and then he married Vicki Tomkinson of Clio, MI on August 29, 1981. Prior to retiring in 2019, Warren worked as a security officer at Genesys Downtown Clinic where he enjoyed making sure the staff and patients were well taken care of. Warren was a member of New Covenant Free Methodist Church where he served as head of the security team and loved being part of the Saturday Morning Men’s Group. Warren also served on the Mt. Morris School Board for 16 years and was a member of the Marine Corps League Detachment #155 for 25 years and held many positions at the local and state levels. Warren loved serving his community and helping those around him.



Warren enjoyed many past times including golfing, camping, flea markets, and going to the movies. He and Vicki spent the past 3 winters in Citrus Woods Estates, in Lakeland, FL. They enjoyed meeting new people and spending time together in the Florida sun. Warren and Vicki liked to travel to spend time with their children and grandchildren, especially his granddaughter, lil’ Quinn.



Surviving are his wife, Vicki Tracey; children Barry (Michelle) Tracey, Kristen (Loren) Ayotte, Laura (Diego) Hiebner; grandchildren Ray Clark, Kayla Clark, Robbie Warrene, Quinn Ayotte; brother and sister-in-law Ron and Sally Tomkinson, and many nieces, nephews, and wonderful friends. Warren was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Corrina Tracey and his sisters Mary Tithof and Pamela Keeler.
