BRONSON, Antonina “Lena”, - of Mt. Morris, age 97, passed away on September 29, 2021 at Maple Woods Manor. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, October 1, 2021 at Flint Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to McLaren Hospice.
Lena was born November 20, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan to Vincenzo and Guiseppa (Messina) Capizzi. Lena met Bob Bronson in Detroit, married him in Imlay City and then moved to Mt. Morris where they built their house and raised their family. Sadly, Bob passed away in 1981. Lena became a homemaker, raising 3 children, doing a lot of canning from their garden and many fruit trees. One thing you could always count on, is she would be watching her “stories” every afternoon. Lena loved being at the family gatherings, especially seeing the little ones grow up.
The family wants to give a special “Thank You” to Maple Woods Manor for their exceptional and loving care they gave Lena.
Left to cherish her memory are: Daughter, Carrie Sontag of Mt. Morris, Michigan; Sons, Bill (Tony) Desmone of Kansas City, Missouri; Ernie Desmone of Bay City, Michigan; Grandchildren, Suzie (Mike) St. Pierre, Kim (Jeremy) Doxey, Christina Thero, Mischelle Badgero, Jason Desmone; 10 Great Grandchildren. Lena wa preceded in death by her Parents, Son in law, Harvey Sontag; Sisters, Diana “Dea’ Taurianen, Leonarda “Helen” Brown, Vita Alongi; Granddaughter, Melissa Shook; Great Gradndaughter, Desiree Agar.
