VERRAN, Nancy Anne (Bargy) – of Davison, MI, age 60, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her children, on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. A Funeral Service will be held 3 PM Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Autumn Howard officiating. Private interment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 1-3 PM Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home.
Nancy was born in Flint, MI on June 6, 1963, daughter of the late Merle and Mary Lou (Black) Bargy. Nancy was diagnosed with cancer in July 2023 and chose to widely keep this news within the family. Despite her immense bravery and strength in her battle against this disease, her treatment was unsuccessful. Family was of utmost importance to Nancy, and she cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. Nancy was a devoted Christian and Child of God and was passionate about volunteerism, focused on giving back to communities near and far through ministry. She was an ardent gardener, always known for her beautiful gardens, which even contained plants passed down from her mother’s gardens. She was an avid quilter, crafter and crocheter and has created many cherished gifts for her children, grandchildren, and other loved ones. Nancy spent over 20 years as a postal carrier and had a passion for befriending her customers, many of whom have remained friends throughout the years. Nancy loved her friends, and enjoyed their times together, especially their compassion and care over the last 9 months. Nancy touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. Her legacy of love and devotion to family will live on through her children and grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her 3 children, Larry Verran III, Brittany Lawler and R.J. Lawler; 2 granddaughters, Lilliana Lawler and Ella Lawler; soon-to-be grandson, set to arrive in April 2024, all of whom held a very special place in her heart; 7 siblings, Susan (Dennis) McBride, Bethany (Roger) Hartwell, Scott (Insook) Bargy, Mark (JoAnn) Bargy, Patrick (Barbara) Bargy, Andrew Bargy and Timothy (Denise) Bargy; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Mary Lou Bargy.
