Rebecca A. (Parks) Sanders, age 53, passed away on November 2, 2020. She was born August 12, 1967 in Lapeer, Michigan to Larry and Sarah Parks.
She was a 1985 graduate of Lapeer West High School, and a 1990 graduate of the University of Michigan-Flint where she earned a B.A. in Elementary Education. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Saginaw, Michigan, where she was recently treasurer and a vestry member. She was active with the Episcopal Church and Scouting and enjoyed crocheting, cross-stitching, tatting, scrapbooking, camping, and most of all…Family.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Thomas Sanders Jr.; son, Ethan Sanders; parents, Larry and Sarah Parks; sisters, Christa Parks and Michelle Barker; brother-in-law, David Barker; nieces and nephew, Hailey Barker, Breanna Barker, and Dawson Barker.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021 at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 1501 N. Center Road, Saginaw Michigan 48638. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church.
