VEENHUIS, Nancy Kay - age 81, of Grand Blanc, died May 23, 2023. A funeral service will be held 6 PM Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. Visitation will be held from 3 PM - 6 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org). Nancy was born August 25, 1941 in Flint, the daughter of Edward and Belle (Sadler) Heddon. She married Charles G. Veenhuis on March 17, 1991. Nancy was a 1959 graduate of Flint Northern High School and then attended Flint Jr College. She was a medical secretary for 30 years with McLaren Health System. Nancy loved living by the water, enjoyed gardening, shopping, casino trips and making memories with her family, especially at her grandchildren's events. Surviving are: husband, Charles Veenhuis of Grand Blanc; five children, Jeffrey Hamilton of St. Clair, Lisa Hamilton (Paul Kalakay) of Fenton, Nicole Hamilton of Fenton, Jennifer (Jeff) Bergeron of Colorado, and Dr. Chandler (Tracy) Veenhuis of Grand Blanc; 13 grandchildren, Kyle, Ty, Mac, Baylor, Dillon, Race, Grayson, Faith, Jillian, Erin, Travis, Carlie, and Caden; sister, Mary (Jim) Farber of California; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; grand dogs, Phoebe and Benjamin.
