BISSONNETTE, Jerome Anthony, Jr. – of Otisville, MI, age 77, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 1 PM Friday, April 10, 2026, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Street, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Cremation will take place following the Mass. The family will receive visitors 4-7 PM Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and one hour prior to the Mass on Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 5:30 PM Thursday at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in Jerome’s memory.
Jerome was born in Flint, MI on August 7, 1948, son of the late Jerome and Lucille (Lahar) Bissonnette. On October 9, 1982, Jerome married the love of his life, Gloria Ann Hawk, in a beautiful ceremony in Flint, MI. Together, they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and memories that will last forever. Gloria sadly preceded him in death on May 29, 2025. Jerome graduated from Beecher High School, then from General Motors Institute with a BS in Engineering and the University of Michigan, Flint with a Master’s in Business. Jerome retired from General Motors after 30 plus years of service. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Jerome was a numbers geek, loved following the stock market and always seeking operational efficiency. He also loved rabbit hunting, fishing, archery and target shooting. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Jerome is survived by son, Jerome Bissonnette III; 2 step-daughters, Kellie (Anthony) Capone and Brigid O’Leary; 7 grandchildren, Keaton Bissonnette, Kayia Bissonnette, Niciya (Josh) Orr, Cassandra Mannon, Anthony (Samantha) Capone, Zachary (Beth) Mannon and David (Kathryn) Capone; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, James (Becky) Bissonnette, John Bissonnette, Paul (Eva) Bissonnette and Michael (Tracey) Bissonnette; 2 sisters-in-law, Marilyn Rutledge and Joyce Lewandowski; close family friend, Craig Justice; many loving nieces, nephews, other family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Lucille Bissonnette; wife, Gloria Ann Bissonnette; 5 sisters, Ruth (Robert) Marshall, Theresa Bissonnette, Rosemary (Russell) Olsey, Linda (Wayne) Olsen and Paula Bissonnette; 2 brothers-in-law, Donald (Lillian) Hawk and Alan Rutledge.
