CARPENTER, ELLEN MERLE – Of Burton, age 97, died Monday, April 3, 2023 at The Oaks at Woodfield.
Cremation has taken place.
Those desiring may make contributions to Hillcrest Children's Home, Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Ellen was born in Mayville, Michigan on May 28, 1925 and was a resident of Flint since 1926. She married Don Carpenter on March 13, 1948 in Flint.
She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church.
Surviving are daughter, Nancy of Burton;
sister, Elaine Davis of Burton;
several nieces and nephews, Deborah(John) Glassetter, Charlie (Colleen) Craig, Tom (Anne) Bundschuh and Kathy (Tom) Marshall.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, on January 7, 2015; daughter, Jayne, in 1955; brothers, Charles Craig and Robert Craig; nephew, Arnold Bundschuh; brother-in-law, Bill Davis.
