Age: 86
Community: Burton, MI

There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens:
A time to be “born” and a time to “die,” A time to “plant” and a time to “uproot,”
A time to “kill” and a time to “heal,” A time to “tear down” and a time to “build,”
A time to “weep” and a time to “laugh,” A time to “mourn” and a time to “dance,”
A time to “scatter stones” and a time to “gather them,” A time to “embrace” and
A time to “refrain from embracing,” A time to “search” and a time to “give up,”
A time to “keep” and a time to “throw away,” A time to “tear” and a time to “mend,”
A time to be “silent” and a time to “speak,” A time to “love” and a time to “hate,”
A time for “war” and a time for “peace.” Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8

August 14, 1935, was Paul Aultman Magee’s time to be “born” - March 27, 2022 was his time to “die.” Blessed be the name of the Lord. Paul was born at home in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was the 3rd child of William Luke and Virgie Mae (Gray) Magee and grew up in the Valley View Community outside of Jonesboro. Paul was very proud of his Arkansas heritage. In November 1955, his family moved to Flint, Michigan. On August 26, 1960, Paul made the best decision of his life and married Arita Rae Zuber at Lincoln Park Baptist Church where they met. In 1963, Paul began his life-long career with Standard Oil, retiring and selling his business in August of 1997. Paul was a man with an interest in many things which he actively pursued during his lifetime - hunting, fishing, hockey, collecting, traveling, softball, car shows and time with family and friends. With the help of one of his best friends, Mike Wissinger, he restored his 1949 Chevrolet Truck and a 1953 BelAir Chevrolet Car. Paul was also a “man of his word” and respected by those who knew him.

On Sunday, March 27, 2022, Paul Aultman Magee departed this life and leaves in God’s care, his wife of 61 years, Arita; his son, William Paul Magee and grandson, Trevor William Caldwell; his son, Robert Anthony Magee, granddaughter, Rayne Marie Magee and grandson, Andrew Jacob Mitchell (Kimberly) and great-grandsons, Nathan Lee Higgerson and William Allen Mitchell. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Richard Magee Sr., who left behind his grandchildren, Kenneth Richard Magee, Jr. and great-grandson, Ryland Anthony Magee, Kristyn Ashlee (Adam) Hayden and Ryan Paul (Larissa) Magee.
Paul was also a blessed man. He received unselfish love and care from his brother-in-law, Warren Richard Zuber; special friends, Tina Diana Miller, Gillian Diane Biggers-Miller and niece, Deborah Ann Sanders. Our family cannot express what their unconditional love meant to us.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Kenneth Richard Magee, Sr.; infant sister, Evelyn Maxine Magee; sisters, Minnie Belle (Scottie) Lemonds and Shirley Ann Hopkins.
