Betty Lou Star, age 85 passed away on September 6, 2025 in Burton, Michigan. Betty was beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Betty was born in Gideon, Missouri, on January 20, 1940. She was known for her love of crafts such as wedding cakes and arranging flowers. Her love of crafts was more than a hobby—it was a way she expressed her care and joy for others. Above all, she cherished her role as a grandmother. She loved to watch her grandkids play baseball. Her grandsons were the light of her life, and she never missed a chance to share a laugh, a story, or a warm embrace.
Betty is survived by her children, Stephen (Jennetta) Star, Sophia (Jeff Teare) Star; grandchildren: Drake, Dominic, Byron, Billy, Kyle, Ryan; great grandchildren: Alora, Byron, Oliver; Sister, Shirley, Foster sisters: Daisy, Debbie, Diane; daughter-in-law, Kim Sevenski; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Star; parents, William and Ruby Wallace; son, William Sevenski II.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 2:00pm with visitation beginning at 11:00am at Brown Funeral Home – 1480 E. Hill Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Interment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery, Grand Blanc, Michigan. |
