WILLIAMS, TAUFAK “JOHN” – Of Grand Blanc, age 94, died Friday, May 5, 2023 at Abbey Park Assisted Living.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2415 Bagley Street, Flint,
Father Thomas Firestone officiating.
Inurnment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Visitation 10 a.m. Wednesday at church until the time of the Mass.

Taufak was born in Flint, Michigan on December 21, 1928, the son of the late Norman and Rose (Stevens) Williams.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
On September 5, 1953, he married Helen Mattar at All Saints Catholic Church in Flint and she preceded him in death on March 24, 2017, after 63 years of marriage.
He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church for many years, and had been an usher at All Saints Catholic Church for many years. Mr. Williams was a past member of Amsyrleb Club.
He also volunteered for Powers Athletic Boosters.
Mr. Williams was employed at Buick Plant #36 for 42 years.
He loved golfing and playing cards with family. Most of all he loved being with family.
Surviving are sons, Norm (Heather) Williams and Tom Williams;
daughter, Martha (Paul) Miller;
11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren;
sister, Minnie Kamar;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kennedi Jo Vance; siblings, Joann, Sam, George, Chuck, Betty, Lola, Anne and Ferris.
