SCHLOSSER, Mary Elizabeth – of Lowell, formerly Davison, age 90, passed away April 26, 2015 at Fountain View Assisted Living in Lowell, MI. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Atherton United Methodist Church, 4010 Lippincott Blvd., Burton; Rev. Gregory Rowe officiating. Burial will take place in Thetford Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Tuesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison and 10-11 AM Wednesday at the church. A special service under the auspices of the Order of Eastern Stars Chapter 299 will take place at 7PM Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Order of The Eastern Star Chapter 299 or Fountain View Assisted Living.
Mary was born in Lapeer, MI on July 13, 1924, daughter of the late Frank and Clara (Stickle) Watters. She married Lewis Schlosser on September 2, 1944 and he preceded her in death on October 29, 1977. Mary was a member of the Order of Eastern Stars #299 in Davison, and the Order of Eastern Stars # 390 in Millington. She was a member of the Atherton United Methodist Church, Emmanuel Methodist Church, and United Methodist Women. She was a Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts leader for over 40 years. Mary was a major cheerleader for all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Bonnie L. (Harvey) Bryant of Burton; sons, Russell (Micki) Schlosser of Cary, IL, Terry (Susan) Schlosser of Flint, MI, Larry Schlosser of Portland, OR, Charles (Pamela) Schlosser of Lowell, MI, 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Schlosser; one sister and three brothers.
