Betty Jeanne Moore
Age 92 passed away peacefully on May 4, 2022 at Alternative Assisted Living in Flushing.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at St. Robert Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at McGeehan Funeral Homes New Lothrop Chapel on Monday, May 9th from 2:00 to 7:00pm.
Betty was born on May 10, 1929 to George and Leabelle (Shaw) Ralston in Flint. She married Philip Glen Moore on September 3, 1949 at St. Robert Catholic Church in Flushing. They celebrated their 73rd anniversary last year.
Betty spent her entire married life in the house she and Glen built in New Lothrop as a loving homemaker, raising her children and working alongside Glen on the farm. Betty was a hard worker and enjoyed camping with her family and reading books. She and Glen loved to travel and visited all 50 states in their retirement years. Betty especially enjoyed Las Vegas. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her husband Glen; children, Diane Moore, David (Catherine) Moore, Carol (Edward) Cassidy, and Patricia (Jeffrey) Carlton; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and 5 step-great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Marilyn Moore.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nina and Lucille; brother, Raymond; father and mother-in-law, Robert Glenn and Susan Moore; in-laws, Bob and Dorothy Moore, Marie and Jim Sheridan, Helena and Frank Montalbano, Hubert and Evelyn Moore, Ken and Irene Moore, and Wayne Moore.
The family would like to extend the most heartfelt thank you to Renea Beutler and her wonderful staff (past and present) at Alternative Assisted Living for the extraordinary care and love that was given to Betty. We would also like to especially thank Sara and the McLaren Hospice team for their dedication and care.
