HAMILTON, Janet – of Flint, age 78, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at her residence surrounded by family. In honor of her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside burial will take place at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. She will be laid to rest with her husband of 49 years, William James Hamilton Jr.
Janet was born in Chelsea, Michigan on March 13, 1943, daughter of the late Valmor and Jean (Longton) LeClair. She married William Hamilton Jr. on November 17, 1962 in Flint, Michigan. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2012. Janet had a zest for life which often found her outdoors. She enjoyed life, family members and many friends.
Her family were the pride and joy of her life. She is survived by her children, Valerie (Kevin) Kryder, William J. (Jerry Perez) Hamilton III, Vickie (Scott) Jeffords and Catherine Hamilton; grandchildren, Amber (Erick) Johnson, Brenton (Rachel) Kryder, Jacob (Alyssa) Kruse, Sarah (Matthew) Hauck, Kayla (James) Hajdo II and Kasie Hamilton; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Jackie Donelson; brother, Valmore (Rocky) LeClair. Janet rejoins her loved ones; her parents; husband; sister, Lillian and grandson, Caden.
