Don was born on July 23, 1938 in Flint, MI to David and Leah (Rusch) Weber. He married the love of his life, Beverly (Stieb) Weber on February 28, 1956. Don loved the Lord, his family, and his church. He was especially proud of his Volga German heritage, and his ancestors who emigrated from Russia to the United States in the early 1900’s. A member of Central Church of the Nazarene for 60 years, Don served on the board, was Chairman of the Finance Committee, and chaired the Building Committee after the fire. He was a gifted pianist, and was actively involved in the music ministry at Central. Don had a special passion for missions, and participated in multiple trips to Russia, Thailand, India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, China, and South Africa to work on construction projects, and support the missionaries serving in those areas. Memorial gifts in honor of Don can be made to Central Church of the Nazarene for Missions.

Don Weber began his career as a tool and die maker at Chevrolet, and was a sales engineer for Kennametal for 6 years prior to buying S&E Machine Products. He started Unique Instruments in 1974, a major supplier of surgical tools and medical devices, which he owned and operated until his retirement in 1993. The Donald H. Weber Entrepreneur & Leadership Center on the campus of Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL is an important part of his legacy.

The family patriarch, Don was a faithful husband, loving father, doting “Papa” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, an example to all, and a cherished friend. We do not sorrow as those who have no hope, but rejoice that Don is with the Savior he served for so long, reunited with friends and loved ones in Heaven. In the words of one of Don’s favorite hymns, “I will tell the saints and angels as I lay my burden down, Jesus led me all the way!”

Don leaves to cherish his memory, wife Beverly, sons - Dr. Gary (Marcy), Larry (Melinda), Donald (Kali), and daughter Julie, 9 grandchildren - Sarah (Don) Ferrington, Lauren (Dr. Dan) Brancheau, Matt (Jacee) Weber, Emily (Austin) Nelson, Brandon (Megan) Weber, Jordan, Kaylee, Zoie, and Skyla Weber, and 13 great-grandchildren - Brendyn, Neil, Bella, Noah, Jackson, Luca, Bailey, Emerson, Addington, Marlow, Shepherd, Ames, and Lux. Special Thanks to Caregivers, Twila, the staff from Touch of Hope, and Hospice Nurse Sheila.
