Patricia "Pat" (Machala) Gillette - age 80 of Swartz Creek, entered eternal life on January 29, 2025. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 6, 2025 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church located at 4413 Morrish Road, Swartz Creek with Fr. Louis Ekka officiating. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at the Sharp Funeral Homes - Miller Road Chapel (8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Michigan) and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A Florence Nightingale Tribute and Rosary will be offered at 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Pat to the Swartz Creek Community Food Basket (www.sc-3.org) or St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church (www.smqa.net).
Pat was born on February 13, 1944 in Flint, Michigan to the late Charles and Bessie (Konecny) Sedlarik. She was a 1962 graduate of St. Matthew Catholic School and went on to work as an LPN for Flint Osteopathic Hospital and then Ascension Genesys Hospital before retiring in 1999. Pat enjoyed going to the casino, she was a faithful volunteer at the Swartz Creek Community Food Basket and a longtime member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
Surviving are her husband, John, children; Mike (Lori) Machala of Grand Blanc and Michelle (Jim) Robinson of Oakland Township. Grandchildren; Michael (Dayna) Machala, Emily (fiancée Jeremy) Machala, Chloe Machala, Becker and Boyd Robinson. Great-grandchildren; MJ and Mila Machala. Brothers; Jim (Kathy) Sedlarik of Flint and Trevor Joe Lennon of Tampa, Florida. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Rick.
