JORDAN, Marlene P. - Age 84, of Swartz Creek, passed away, July 2, 2023. Funeral Service 3:00 PM July 6, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Larry Gill officiating. Visitation 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday, July 5, 2023 and 2:00PM -3:00 PM Thursday. There will be a Genesee County Nurses Honor Guard Service 7:00 PM Wednesday. Memorial contributions in Marlene's memory may be directed to the wishes of the family.
Marlene was born July 4, 1938 in Saginaw, the daughter of Walter H. and Ruth C. (Lang) Heine. She married Alfred R. Jordan on December 24, 1969. Marlene graduated from Clio High School in 1956. She also graduated from the Hurley School of Nursing. Marlene was employed as an LPN at Flint Osteopathic Hospital and later served as a Medical Records Clerk at FOH and Genesys Hospital. She retired in 2003 from Genesys Hospital. Marlene was a long time member of The Swartz Creek Church of the Nazarene, where she served in many departments and especially enjoyed playing the church organ for services. Marlene cherished spending time with her family, friends, and grandchildren.
Marlene is survived by: her husband, Al; daughters, Tracie (Jeff) Austin, of Flint, and Dana (Kevin) Edgerton, of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Caleb and Emma Austin, Brittney Bradburn; and Tori and Lexi Edgerton; sister, Madeline (Eugene) Renico; sister-in-law, Christine Heine; and many nieces and nephews.
