BAKER, Steven James – of Montrose, age 71, died Saturday, August 26, 2023 at his residence. Honoring Steven’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held at this time. Memorial contributions can be made to Humane Society of Genesee County.
Steven was born January 26, 1952 in Flint, Michigan to the late Charles and Joyce (Pritcherd) Baker. He grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Carmen High School with the class of 1970. On May 22, 1989 he married Sheryl Trier in Montrose, Michigan. Prior to his retirement in 2006, Steven worked for GM as a line worker with 33 ½ years of service. Steven enjoyed his CB Radio, hunting, horses and his lawn tractor. However, his greatest joy in life was his family and grandchildren.
Surviving are: wife, Sheryl Baker; children, Jennifer (James) Beamish, Steven (Erika) Baker, Bethany (Anthony) Dattoli, Cora (Brian) Haddock, Robert Hunter; grandchildren, Chris Beamish, Eric Beamish, Alexandria Beamish, Austin Baker, Evan Baker, Caleb Whiting, Brycen Dattoli, Abigail Hunter, Preston Haddock, Kane Haddock, Killian Haddock; sister, Janiece Baker; special nephew, Dustin Eppler.
