MCCLENATHAN, Barbara Jean – Of Burton, age 73, died Monday, May 17, 2021 at McLaren-Flint.
Cremation has taken place and inurnment at Great Lakes National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
Barbara was born in Flint, Michigan on September 15, 1947, the daughter of Edward and Elsie (Farrer) Athey.
On November 22, 1969 she married Melvin McClenathan and he preceded her in death.
Barbara was a homemaker and worked for the United States Postal Service.
Surviving are daughter, Wendy Strong of Adrian;
granddaughters, Emily Strong of Burton and Brooke Strong of Adrian;
sister, Marianne Burns;
brother, William and wife Janice Athey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin McClenathan; siblings, Roseanne Wilson, Beverly, Nancy, Sandra, Sally, Paul, Betty, Gerald and Edward.
