Elliott, Ted D. – of Montrose, formerly of Arkansas, age 79, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Chesaning nursing and rehabilitation center. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Monday, May 22, 2023, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Walt Yeomans to officiate. Cremation will follow. The family will receive visitors on Sunday from 1PM until 8PM and on Monday from 10AM until the time of service. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family for future designation.
Ted was born June 4, 1943, in Palestine, Arkansas, to the late Jess and Eunice (McCafferty) Elliott. He married Rose Genovese on February 28, 1965, in Davison, MI. He loved hunting and fishing and being outdoors. Ted enjoyed bowhunting and traditional archery. You could always find him in the garage tinkering. More than anything he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an amazing husband, dad, and grandpa who will be greatly missed by many.
Surviving are: Beloved wife of 58 years, Rose (Genovese) Elliott. ; Sons: James (Maria) Elliott, and Joseph (Linda) Elliott; Grandchildren: Andrew (Erika) Fernelius, Christina (Brandon) Elliott, Brandon Elliott; Great Grandchildren: Stella Marble, Julius Fernelius, Lorenzo Fernelius, Evan Ostrander, and Anna Cochran; Siblings: Hazel Basham, and Curtis Elliott; Sister-In-Laws: Virginia Venner, Fran Worthington; Several nieces and nephews; Special friends: Mary, Dave and Kelly Sproul, Brent, Jill, and Wyett Rathka. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Mary Haddix, Diane Elliott, Jerry Elliott, and Delores Elliott.
